About The National Humanities Center
Based in the United States, The National Humanities Center is a free standing national resource devoted to advancing significant humanistic study and reflection and to making those insights available both inside and outside the academic world.
The Center promotes understanding of the humanities and highlights their vital role in a vibrant, democratic society through a variety of public programs and initiatives, podcasts, and events.
The National Humanities Center worked with partners across the US to stage the inaugural Being Human Festival from 15 to 26 April 2024 in eight locations. Events included a Garden Trail, A Zine Fest and a Route 66 Bus Tour!
