Scheduled dates
Come along to the Ushaw Moor Community Garden for an exciting activity trail. Get your family together, and explore your local lands, completing fun activities as you go. The route will be up for one weekend in October and again in November, with different activities to match the monthly theme. You can complete the trail at any time over the weekends, though you will need an activity sheet (please contact the organiser for this).
For October’s ‘Craft’ theme you can receive a craft pack between 13:00 - 16:00 on Saturday 23 October (no booking required, although craft packs will be available on a first come, first served basis).
On Saturday 20 of November, poet Gillian Allnut and Storyteller Pat Renton will be there as part of the ‘Story’ theme (booking is required for this session).
Plus all autumn you’ll have a chance to win a £100 to spend at a local family-friendly business by creating something (poem, sculpture, etc.) which shows what nature means to you. Entries will be used in ongoing environmental philosophy research.
