Join in on the Bath Readathon! - a fun reading experience for adults of all ages.
Our readathon activities are designed for sharing the enjoyment of reading with other people, using the theme of ‘landmarks’ as our reading inspiration. There are 3 ways you can participate:
- Readathon Sprint [location-based, booking required]
Bring along your book, poem or play to read with other people in the room. You can then chat about what you have just read with the group, or you can simply listen to what others have to say. Our Bath Readathon! Prompt Map offers a range of reading texts if you are looking for ideas.
- Readathon Sprint [virtual/online: booking required]
Bring along your book, poem or play to read with other people in the virtual room. You can then chat about what you have just read with the group, or you can simply listen to what others have to say. Our Bath Readathon! Prompt Map offers a range of reading texts if you are looking for ideas.
- Self-guided Readathon Team Challenge [no booking required]
In pairs or a small group, make your way through Bath’s city centre by reading as many books, poems or plays as possible linked to Bath and/or landmarks of the Southwest. Refer to our Bath Readathon! Prompt Map for our guide, prompts and suggestions for reading texts. The challenge is to cover all 15 prompts within the week-long Bath Readathon! (from 7-13 November).
