Come along to discover a commissioned series of walking maps using the body's landmarks as a yardstick. For example, a human adult's digestive tract is 6-9 metres. The fastest nerve cells carry messages along at 118 metres a second. Hair grows at half an inch per month, which is 1km in a lifetime!
Distances like these have been mapped out by the commissioned cartographers to create unique walks that chart the body's landmarks with physical landmarks in their local community.
This event will exhibit the commissioned maps and will be a chance to hear from the authors and even participate in one of the (shorter) routes.
