Scheduled dates
This workshop will see a collaboration between research on masculinity, mental health and cultural expectations together with Feel Good Factor’s open access men’s group.
Dr Matthew Elliott (School of Performance and Cultural industries) will share his findings and practices on masculinity and mental health, developed in East Africa, and will invite the group to respond and participate. The workshop will also be an opportunity to share ideas about how male mental health is framed by medical approaches in the UK, as well as interrogate what informs and causes mental health experiences.
Feel Good Factor (FGF) in Leeds, Chapel Town, provides activities, projects and services to improve access to health opportunities for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Leeds.
Please note: this is a closed event for a specific group.
This event is part of the 'Body Matters' series led by the University of Leeds.
