Food is a fundamental and familiar staple of human existence, playing a vital role in decisions around health and wellbeing and expressing culture and identity, as well as manifestating of globalised political concerns. Through a series of “Lightning Talks”, Arts and Humanities postgraduate students from the University of Essex will present their research into the representation of foodstuffs and their meanings within literature, culture, and popular media from historical and contemporary perspectives. Join us as we forge communities and forage the minds of the next generation.
