Join us for a screening of a feature-length film, 'Four Parts of a Folding Screen', exploring themes of exclusion and statelessness and the theft and sale of an individual family’s household possessions by the Nazi regime.

Shot in Berlin, the film visualises and recounts this troubling and forgotten past in the present. Come along if interested in the subject or in alternative approaches to documentary form.

The screening will be introduced by the filmmakers, Anthea Kennedy and Ian Wiblin

The event has been organised with support from the Welsh Refugee Council in Cardiff and the Jewish History Association of South Wales. Members from these organisations will lead the concluding informal Q&A, placing the themes of the film in context with contemporary experiences of exile and of seeking sanctuary from oppression.

The film is English language and will be screened with English subtitles to make its narrative and content fully accessible. Refreshments will be provided.
