'The History of Northampton in Emotional Objects' explores the personal and community attachments to the town and region through a series of objects selected by the people of Northampton. How do objects attach us to families and places? Why do we feel an attachment to things and what does this tell us about our lives?
On 15 November, visitors are asked to take an object along to Northampton Museum and Art Gallery to contribute to a one-day exhibition, organised with the University of Northampton. There will be an announcement showcasing the winning three emotional objects at the exhibition, and these will be displayed in an exciting VR display over the following week at the art gallery.
