Join Joan Haran and Lorna Gibson for a creative writing workshop to reimagine the future of health and care.

Following an introduction to creative writing techniques, and topical health news stories, participants will discuss imaginary possibilities and each write a short article for a digital newspaper of the future.

Through discussion and writing, attendees will critique the values underpinning our ideas of health and care, and explore creative writing as a mode of visualising possible futures that align with, or steer away from, what it means to be human.

The event is suitable for adults 16+ with an interest in creative writing, activism, sustainability, social justice, alternative futures, and in living and dying humanely. Maximum 20 participants.

This event is part of the Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society's Being Human Festival programme of events, Bodies. Stories. Health.
