Making History in Cardiff brings together researchers from our School of History, Archaeology and Religion, community partners and artists, alongside a dedicated team of local volunteers, to explore exciting histories of the area, build skills and create opportunities for the vibrant communities of Caerau and Ely.

We warmly invite members of the Caerau and Ely community to the Caer Heritage Centre to explore the incredible community-led discoveries of the areas past from the stone-age to the modern era.

Experience remarkable Bronze Age artefacts from the first known house in the city, step back in time to explore the Iron-Age and get hands-on with heritage themed ancient crafts.

Please note: this event is aimed at members of the Caerau and Ely community. A second Making History Day event will take place on Saturday 16 November at Cardiff West Community High School, and is open to all.

No booking is required – just drop in. This event is part of Cardiff University's 2024 Festival Hub programme.
