We invite families to come and join us to get crafty and explore the past and present of Sunderland! Come along with your little one to learn about Molly, the new sculpture of a woman shipbuilder who worked in the local shipyards during World War II who will be coming to live on the banks of the Wear very soon.
We will be making pictures and stories of what we think Molly's life was like in the yards, or what her life as a sculpture on the riverside will be like from now. We will provide the resources and you and your youngster can join in and help us create a magazine about the past and present of Sunderland, work with real researchers to understand the importance of creativity to our local area, or just participate in the crafts and take your creations home.
1 ticket = 1 child with an accompanying adult. Children must be accompanied at all times.
Find out more about Writing the Wartime Shipyards: Sculpture and Storytelling on Wearside taking place on November 9.
