Maps of Exeter have been produced for hundreds of years by many different people for many different reasons. At this drop-in event participants will be invited to help create a new digital map of Exeter that charts the places that have personal meaning to the people who live in, work in or visit the city. Participants will discover how Exeter has been mapped over the past 500 years through a special display of historic maps from the collections held at the University of Exeter and the Devon and Exeter Institution. Participants will have the chance to add a place which has personal meaning to the map. After the event, the new digital map of Exeter will be available to view online.
