Join us for spoken-word performances celebrating all things Nottingham culture and history, with the opportunity to perform on the open mic yourself!

This is a spoken-word poetry performance event culminating our 'Ode to Notts' series, which is open to everyone. We will showcase new poems and talents that have emerged from the ‘Writing Notts’ workshops. Writers will perform their own poems in front of a public audience.

Our poets, who have been working with GOBS Collective founder and poet Bridie Squires and University of Nottingham academic and poet Dr Hongwei Bao to create work especially for this event will have their chance to present their art to an audience. A hand-made and self-published poetry zine containing all the performed poems will be distributed to the audience. The poetry zine will also be collected by Nottingham Central Library. Come along and try out your performance skills, or just sit back and enjoy an afternoon of proper Notts poetry.

The event will take place in Meeting Room 6 & 7 of Nottingham Central Library.

This event is part of the Ode to Notts series led by University of Nottingham.
