- The Museum’s ramped access is closed for essential maintenance. An alternative entrance for step-free access is available, please call 020 7841 3600 on arrival and The Foundling Museum team will assist you. We apologise for the inconvenience. There is a lift to all floors (width 80cm, height 200cm, length 140cm), accessible toilets and a cloakroom. A wheelchair, facilities for guide dogs, large print interpretation texts and magnifying glasses are also available on request. Blue Badge parking available.

Join Belinda Zhawi, writer, sound artist and educator, for a writing workshop at the Foundling Museum based around life stories and renewal. Be inspired by the astonishing hand-written memoir of 18th century Foundling boy George King, who fought at the Battle of Trafalgar. Hear more about George’s eventful life and his incredible resilience from Professor Helen Berry, curator of the Museum’s exhibition 'Fighting Talk: One boy's journey from abandonment to Trafalgar'.
