Discover and demystify the mechanics of animation! Play with handmade pattern, rhythm and frame-rate and try your hand at creating a Phonotrope, an animation device based on the pre-cinematic animation toy the Praxiniscope (a strip of pictures placed around the inner surface of a spinning cylinder).
In this participatory workshop you will use pre-prepared paper discs with marked intervals, which can be drawn onto and played back on a record player, recorded and played back with a camera and projector.
This event is aimed at young people and animation enthusiasts!
