Scheduled dates
Hone your creative writing skills through this poetry workshop hosted at Penrhyn Castle as part of the Being Human festival. Inspired by the works of Medieval Welsh praise poets, this event will help you explore your lyrical imagination through poetry and performance. While the castle will be closed for the winter months, you'll receive special access with an orientation tour as part of the session. Using Penrhyn Castle as a backdrop, explore popular aspects in poetry such as writing about scenery, connecting with your emotions, processing the past and celebrating your heritage. Whether you are new to writing, have experience in other genres or are a seasoned poet, this event aims to strengthen your ability to connect with the world around you through writing. A Welsh poet will guide you through the session, where you will be writing and performing your own poetry through a digital exhibition.
An online version of this workshop will take place on Saturday 13 November and requires separate booking.
