Join this creative workshop of art-making and free writing inspired by the ancient Greek story of the fall of Troy.

Come along if you’re interested in myth, migrant journeys and immersive storytelling. Share your voice and experiences to rebuild Troy today and join in a collective reflection on life in exile and new beginnings in Hammersmith, home of migrants and refugees for many generations. We will explore the healing power of memory through sketching imaginary Troys and will celebrate resilience and the rebuilding of life afflicted by conflict with free, spontaneous writing.

Launching the workshop, drama students will read extracts from contemporary women's writing (in English) bringing to life the women of Troy.

No art or writing experience is expected or required. Guidance and support will be provided throughout. Suitable for ages 16+.

Booking is free but essential as places are limited. To book, and for any questions, please contact Efi Spentzou at efi.spentzou@rhul.ac.uk
