Scheduled dates
'Scoring Mental Health' is a live performance of powerful and evocative music, co-created by people with experience of mental ill health and composer Gawain Hewitt, taking place at the Bethlem Museum of the Mind in the grounds of the Bethlem Hospital. The process of composing the music was captured in a recent BBC Radio 3 programme "Scoring Mental Health", and during the day artists from the Bethlem Gallery will attend workshops to create visual responses to the music. For this evening event anyone interested in mental health and how music can help express our inner states is invited to come along and listen to the music. This will be followed by a discussion with Gawain, researchers from King's College London, and artists involved in the project. The audience's perspectives will inform the vision for an exhibition at the Bethlem Gallery in 2024.
Please note that some may find the music and themes of mental health challenging.
