- Guide, hearing and other working dogs are most welcome in all areas of the building. Please let the organiser know when booking if you are bringing an assistance dog. Attenborough Arts Centre is part of the Changing Places scheme and has the following accessible facilities: a fully accessible, spacious adult changing facility with a height-adjustable changing bed, hoist and shower. The hoist can be used at any time required, the battery just needs collecting from reception. Please contact the organiser regarding specific access requirements.

Did you know that William Shakespeare, probably most famous for his inspiring poetry of love, also scales the depths of complete and utter hatred? This interactive workshop explores Timon of Athens, one of Shakespeare’s most bitter and twisted plays, which tells the tale of a man who starts out super-rich but then loses all his wealth and rejects humankind. Join Professor Mary Ann Lund from the University of Leicester and artists from 1623 Theatre company to bring to life a scene from the play while asking: Why does Timon despise every human? Is his hatred reasonable? And how does Timon speak for us today?
