If you’ve found solace in the outdoors and green spaces over the past year, join researchers from Goldsmiths to experience this urban river in a whole new way - through sound.
Whether it’s the dawn chorus or underwater recordings, explore the soundscape of the River Quaggy. Understand how the river impacts the local area and vice versa through an interactive app, contribute your own field recordings at our sound walk workshop, and hear from resident scientific and cultural experts about the importance of the river to both the community and local eco-system.
- 10:00 - Sound walk workshop
- 14:00 - App launch
Come along to learn about this heavily engineered South London river and how it is becoming re-naturalised.
This event is open to all and carried out in conjunction with the Quaggy waterways Action Group (QWAG).
