This workshop explores how narratives about science, and particularly epigenetics, can shape social ideas about bodies, health and society. Led by Professor Martyn Pickersgill (University of Edinburgh) and creative writer Dr Angie Spoto, participants will explore how the social and natural world break through the barriers of our skin and change the story of our bodies and selves.

This workshop is for people who want to try out writing short stories, and especially for those with an interest in how we tell stories about the body. Participants will be supported to write their own mini-stories to their bodies.

This event is part of the Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society's Being Human Festival programme of events, Bodies. Stories. Health.
