Scheduled dates
Join us for a reflective ‘walkshop’ based on the theme of decarbonisation through sustainable food, trees and forests, in three parts:
We will start with a public roundtable on the links between nature, biodiversity loss and sustainable food. Everyone will be encouraged to contribute to the discussion, facilitated by academic experts in religions, philosophies and ethics. It will also be fine to observe and listen only.
We will then head across the road from the Bath Royal and Literary Scientific Institution (BRLSI) into Queen Square, led by Bathscape guide Hugh Williams. Here we will spend time identifying the trees, learning about their cultural and historic significance and finding out about this small, attractive and important square of nature in the city centre.
Finally, we will return to BRLSI where our imaginations will be stimulated by creative soundscapes, material objects and the visual inspiration of a digital Forest of Imagination. Time for play, for connection, and for reflection.
This event is part of Bath Spa University's 2024 Festival Hub programme.
