Join us for a private viewing of an exhibition curated by Monica Germanà and learn how local and international artists have responded to today’s urgent environmental questions raised by the current climate crisis.
Through focusing on the melting icecaps and rising water levels, the exhibition reflects on the vanishing landmark that is the Arctic, and the repercussions that a potentially ice-free Arctic might have for the rest of the world in our near future.
Among others, the works on display will feature multi-media artist David Cass’s ‘Where Once the Waters’, and Jen Cable’s ‘Going, Going, Gone’.
In conversation with Monica Germanà at the private viewing, Jen Cable will talk about the inspiration behind her works and the environmental questions that, more widely, preoccupy her practice. Selected exhibition artefacts will also be available for viewing when other Being Human Festival events are taking place at the Soho Poly.
This event is part of The Soho Poly: A Disruptive London Landmark series by University of Westminster.
