Many of you will have clothing items in your wardrobes that carry stories of your pasts, former relationships, personal and cultural changes. You may not even wear these items any longer. Some may have been worn just once, yet you hang onto them because of their special meanings.

Attendees are invited to bring along items of clothing to this event and share the stories, memories, and connections these special items have for them, demonstrating how clothing can inform and record landmarks in personal lives.

Join Jolene Sheehan from Joy Ethic alongside Prof Sophie Woodward in this methods@manchester event where together we will explore how powerful stories can be in fostering connections and conversations. The session will also provide insights into how objects, stories, and storytelling are used by academic researchers to develop insights into people's everyday experiences and personal histories.
